Use Human Handoff Controls

Prerequisites

An open conversation and a visible authorized control.

Expected result

The handling mode changes only when the dashboard visibly confirms the action.

Open conversation detail

Handoff controls live in the conversation detail view.

  1. Open Conversations and choose a channel.
  2. Select a conversation.

Use the visible action

Use Take over, Return to AI, Pause AI, Resume AI, or Close only if the control is available.

  1. Check the handling mode before acting.
  2. Confirm the visible result after the action.

Escalate inconsistencies

If a control is missing or state does not change, provide the conversation ID, channel, role, and screenshot to Support.

Troubleshooting

The public website assistant cannot perform or claim a handoff.
