Set Up Instagram DM AI
Connect and test Instagram messaging, then choose the assistant and AI activation policy.
An eligible plan or agreed scope, workspace access, an Instagram account, and an available assistant.
The connection test succeeds and Configure shows the intended assistant selection and AI activation policy.
Connect and test
Use the controls shown in the Instagram channel card.
- Open Channels and select Instagram Messaging or Instagram DM.
- Use Connect Instagram, then Test Connection.
Configure AI handling
Configure binds the channel to an assistant and activation policy.
- Open Configure.
- Verify assistant selection and AI activation policy.
Verify Conversations controls
Instagram conversations use the existing conversation handling controls.
- Use Take Over, Return to AI, Pause AI, or Resume AI only when the control is visible and your role allows it.
Troubleshooting
Provider ownership, permissions, or connection failures can require implementation review; do not use an invented route or entitlement key.
